Driver Education & Testing Services

REGISTER  ONLINE  FOR  DRIVER  EDUCATION:

Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) driving lessons, or

the PA Driving Skills Test at Petaccio's Driving School in Royersford.

If you have any difficulties with registration or scheduling, please call the office.

It is best that the student enrolls soon after acquiring the permit. We suggest that the best usage of our program is to allow at least two to three weeks between lessons to allow the student to practice skills taught in each lesson.

  • 6 Hours Behind-the-Wheel Lessons with Skills Test

    This package includes four 90-minute lessons, test preparation, and the skills test. Door-to-door pick-up and drop-off is available in our service area only. Outside of those areas, we have public locations for pick-up and drop-off.

    Register now, and you will be able to begin scheduling your lessons online. You will need to schedule BTW61, 62, 63, and 64. These need to be taken in order, and BTW64 should be scheduled no more than two weeks before the test date. All scheduled lessons are not considered confirmed until you receive an email confirmation.

    A non-refundable registration fee of $75 is required to schedule your first appointment. The first installment toward the balance is due before or at the time of the first lesson.

    Cancellations must be made by calling 610-948-4979 (email notices are not accepted). Any cancellation with less than two business days notice is subject to an $80 fee.

  • 1.5 Hour Behind-the-Wheel Lesson and Skills Test

    This package includes one 90-minute driving lesson and the skills test. The driving lesson will begin and end at our office in Royersford.

    Register now, and you will be able to begin scheduling your lesson online. All scheduled lessons are not considered confirmed until you receive an email confirmation. You will need to call our office at (610) 948-4979 to schedule your test. We strongly recommend that you schedule your lesson no more than two weeks before your test.

    Full payment for this service is due upon registration and is non-refundable. 

    Cancellations must be made by calling 610-948-4979 (email notices are not accepted). Lesson cancellations with less than two business days notice is subject to a $75 fee. Test no-shows and late cancelations will result in forfeiture of the $85 testing fee.

  • DRIVING SKILLS TEST

    This is a test only option. You are expected to follow all rules of the road and properly parallel park the vehicle. You may use our vehicle or yours for the exam. If you are using your vehicle, you will need to bring a valid vehicle registration, insurance, and driver's license of the accompanying driver.

PETACCIO'S DRIVING SCHOOL TEST ADMINISTRATION

We are a certified Third-Party Test Administrator. Skills tests are performed at our office in Royersford.

  • Students under 18 cannot take the Skills Test until six months after their permit issue date and completion of 65 hours of  supervised driving. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent for the test. 
  • Individuals over 18 with a permit may test at any time.

Upon the successful completion of the test, the permit will be stamped and the student will be licensed in Pennsylvania. The stamped permit is valid for four months. PA will send you a camera card within six weeks.

 

Driver Education in PA

  • Online 30-Hour Driving Theory Course

    We offer an online course through Safe2Drive that will fulfill both the PA state and most insurance company discount requirements for the 30 hours of driving theory instruction.

    You can take this course at the same as your behind-the-wheel driving lessons. If you plan to take behind-the-wheel with our school, you must register for that service as well.
